- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Amchur Powder (Dry Mango Powder)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Oil
For Frying:
- Oil for deep frying
How to make Samosa
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour, salt, ajwain seeds, and oil. Mix well using your fingertips until the mixture becomes crumbly.
Gradually add water and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and coriander seeds and sauté for a few seconds.
Add onion, green chili, and grated ginger to the pan and sauté until the onion turns translucent.
Add boiled and mashed potatoes, boiled green peas, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, amchur powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the filling cool.
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll each ball into a thin circular disc.
Cut the circular disc into two halves using a knife.
Take one half and fold it into a cone shape. Seal the edges of the cone by applying a little water.
Fill the cone with the prepared filling and seal the top of the cone by applying a little water.
Repeat the process for the remaining dough and filling.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
Gently place the samosas in the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Remove the samosas from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Serve hot with mint chutney or tamarind chutney.
